Projects & Trials

This is the area where I challenge myself. I try new tools, techniques, and styles.

This is my latest challenge: an attempt to delve into creating more realistic artwork. Typically, I steer clear of realism in my paintings due to the lack of formal training. That said, this first trial isn’t too back, wouldn’t you agree?

You can use Krita to create vintage posters

In this project, I tested a few textures what I overlayed on my image. This created an old, faded vintage image.

tHE CRACKED BALL

This was part of a video tutorial.

Here, I tried to show that we can make any illustration look real by adding the right texture to it.

The Fish

This is another image I created in Krita, using only one brush. Now, obviously, the bubbles were added later with another brush. The one brush I used for the fish is called Bristles Hairy.

It is good to challenge ourselves and see how far we can go.

I spent eight long days (averaging three hours per day) creating this digital lizard portrait. All the scales were drawn one by one, by hand. They have been redone several times. Colors were also a challenge. This painting is certainly not perfect, but it is my first big project. Please note that I only used one brush. I used the free Krita software to paint this artwork. The trick was to change the brush size and play around with the flow and opacity settings. Finally, I applied a filter to produce the last special effect.
