In this tutorial, I am going to show you how easy it is to create a simple illustration. Using only simple shapes and lines, you can draw a cute cat in less than 3 minutes. Follow the video you saw on Pinterest or on Youtube (You can also watch it here) and pause at any time. Keep training and when you are getting good at it, try to draw it in Photoshop and paint it.
Using the same techniques, I redrew the same cat in Photoshop, added a few extra things such as a hat and a bow tie. To finish it (and give it a sophisticated look), I created huge eyes. See last picture at the bottom of this blog.
A simple summary of the steps… On the right side of the drawing, you can see that the head is a sphere, like an American Football ball (See #1). The eyes are the number 6 mirrored. On the left side of the drawing, you can see that the legs are very easy to make as well. Just draw a long line first (See #1), then make the letter “C” mirrored for the front paws (See #1 & #2). For the rest, just follow the video. Have fun.
